Arts & Science Festival 2018

15 March 2018, 13:30 - 16:00

Black Hole Club members past and present join forces to create a workshop as part of the University of Birmingham’s Arts and Science Festival this month.

This inventive, interactive workshop will examine the form and function of cognitive interruption as experienced by neurodivergent individuals (e.g. people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Synaesthesia, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia and ADHD). Bringing together sculpture, immersive video and virtual reality with somatic exercises and brainwave monitoring, the workshop will encourage participants to consider the generative and creative aspects of cognitive interruption and neurological difference.

Bookings here. A limited number of free places are available – please email with your details if you would like a place.

The event will take place at European Research Institute, Digital Humanities Hub, Ground Floor at University of Birmingham (G3 on campus map), which is an accessible space.
